A Letter on Protracted Meetings
A Letter on Protracted Meetings
Our Price: $5.95

A Letter on Protracted Meetings by William Weeks, author of Pilgrim’s Progress Through the Wastelands. During the time of Charles Finney many churches embraced his New Measures of conducting revivals. Many also saw inherent problems with Finney’s evangelism and the New Measures, including Asahel Nettleton. In the midst of the controversy, William Weeks wrote a letter to his former church warning them about the New Measures and outlining how a protracted meeting should be conducted, so that men might be rightly convicted of sin and humbled before God. He warned them of the consequences of allowing the New Measures into their church. His letter endures today and is a brilliant outline of how sound theology must be the basis of any revivals or protracted meetings. His advice is much needed in our churches today! Newly typeset paperback. 18 pages. more info
